Educational Farm Tours
At Bill’s Berry Farm learning and fun are synonymous! Mrs. Bill’s creative lessons and choices of topic vary depending on the season. We offer educational farm tours for all ages- ranging from preschoolers all the way to senior citizen groups! Allow 1 to 1 ½ hours for the tour depending on the age the tour is geared towards and the type of tour you choose.
Groups are free to bring a sack lunch and enjoy our picnic area or our Tractor playground either before or after their tour. Sack lunch time limited to 1 hour for large school groups so that other groups can use the space also.
These tours are perfect for senior groups, book clubs, community groups or just a group of friends who want an outing at the farm. Your time here includes the stations listed below as well as time to visit our farm store for fresh produce, frozen berries or pies, or shop for gifts, home decor and local food products. Hard ice cream cones available daily.
Adult Tours Includes 3 stations:
- A hayride around the farm with a stop to pick a little produce (apples or pumpkins)
- Time to visit the animals in our Animal Farm
- A visit with Mrs. Bill about one of the topics below over a cup of hot cider and a warm donut
Farm History Lesson
History on the farm on how things have changed over the years from commercial agriculture to direct farm sales
The Amazing Bee Lesson
All about bees and pollination and how important they are to agriculture in our valley and our farm
Educational Children’s Tours
Educational Children’s Tours include 4 stations:
- An age-appropriate educational lesson on agriculture (see choices below). Preschool groups may substitute a Barnyard Train Ride for the lesson if they wish.
- Hayride tour of the farm with a stop to pick seasonal fruit or plant a seed
- A visit with our “Barnyard Buddies” at the BBF animal farm
- A donut and apple juice snack (hot cider for adult tours) and time to play on our playground
Lessons start at 9:30am, 11:00am and 12:30pm for both Spring and Fall tours.
Each lesson time can accommodate up to four classes. Each class will start at a different station and rotate through the stations until each class has visited all the stations.
Signs of Spring Tour
Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays during the last three weeks of May
Children learn about seasons, blooms or bees and pollination, take a hayride around the farm to spot the different signs of spring, as well as have a hands on experience planting a seed to take home.
Apple Orchard Tour
Thursday and Friday on the last week in September
Children learn about the parts of an apple tree and how it grows, take a hayride to the orchard to pick a few apples and enjoy an apple juice and a fresh made apple cider donut.
Pumpkin Patch Tour
Wednesdays and Thursdays during the month of October
Children learn about pumpkins…their parts, how they grow and how they keep us healthy. They enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch to get a child size pie pumpkin and a fresh made pumpkin donut and apple juice.
Corn Maze Tour
This “tour” is for groups wanting just a fun outing! Students learn team building and problem solving skills while playing in our corn maze. Much like the board game CLUE, they must work together and find the clues in the corn maze to figure out which barnyard animal kidnapped farmer Bill. Also included is time to play in our FarmLAND with pedal cart track, large slides and more. Groups get 1 1/2 hours to complete the maze and play in FarmLAND. Maze tours do NOT receive a hayride, a pumpkin, snack or a visit at the animal farm. Because we have had vandalism in the past we require all student groups to be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the maze and FarmLAND.
$7 per person; $90 minimum per tour
$7/child, $2/extra chaperones, parents, & grandparents*

book your tour today
Our tours book up well in advance so we advise that you book your tour with us as far in advance as possible. Spring tours are often booked in the fall or early spring, and Fall tours are often booked in the spring before school is out or in August. The larger your group (four classes or more), the further in advance we suggest you book.
Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions.
