This blog is about us… the Michener Family & our farm, Bill’s Berry Farm.

It is not, however, written by the entire Michener family (for which you can be very thankful!). It is written by Farmer Bill’s oldest (and favorite
daughter Larelle, 22.
Since graduating from 12 years of homeschooling in 2007, Larelle has become the tech support, assistant marketing gal, graphic designer, chief researcher, and general anything-you-need-done, Girl Friday for Bill’s Berry Farm. This includes learning how to edit a website, and design and post to the blog (yes the one you are reading). As the oldest of 8 kids, she also pitches in around the house, and since she enjoys cooking and baking she does the majority of this for the Michener family. When she has extra time Larelle paints landscapes and still life, draws, and enjoys reading a range of books that includes fiction, lots of classical literature and the encyclopedia. She also enjoys sewing aprons, bags, & embroidery projects and has somewhat of a green thumb that shows itself in a large cutting flower and veggie garden. The instant gratification of photography is becoming a bad habit, and you will find her pictures scattered throughout this blog and our website.
We hope that as you read this blog you get a fun, realistic, glimpse into our family’s life as we live and work on a rural American farm. Enjoy your visit with us here… and take time someday soon to come and meet us all in person. We look forward to seeing you and showing you around Bill’s Berry Farm!
